Mumbai partied with Bombay Times on Saturday night, on the occasion of its 12th anniversary. Some 2,000 people from the entertainment, glamour, media, corporate and political world descended upon Taj Land's End, Bandra, a large section of which was turned into a rain forest with comicbook superheroes of the jungle and tribals shadowing and scaring the guests (in pure jest, of course!).

Ask Penaz Masani, who shrieked and then broke into fits of laughter when a crouching tribal dwarf sprang a neat surprise on her.

There were games galore even as jungle sound effects and gimmicks kept people active and literally on their toes. But no one seemed to be complaining, especially with DJ Aqueel belting out hummable and danceable tracks. The party was a slow burn, picking up around midnight, when the floodgates seemed to open and cars lined up the entrance. Outside the area was choc- a-bloc with security men and cops, and onlookers waiting to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars.

Even as the night drew to a close, nobody seemed to tire, rather people looked good enough to party on till the wee hours of the morning. Which they did.
