Director Samir Karnik's claim to fame was his directorial debut Kyun! Ho Gaya Na, not so much for the film (it took a hit at the B.O) but for the romantic pairing. It was Ash-Viveik at the peak of their supposed romance, and the on-screen/off-screen jodi raised more eyeballs than the film ever did. Inspite of the debacle, Samir swore only to work with biggies.
So while he's completing Nanhe Jaisalmer with Bobby Deol and Katrina, he's planned his next big project, Mera Bharat Mahaan, with Salman Khan, Preity Zinta, Sohail Khan, Amrita Arora and Vatsal Seth. All these biggies wanting to work with you..kyon, Samir? What's the secret? Or is it just patriotism?
