August
28, 1999 - Oh, Brother
The Salman-Arbaaz Khan starrer, Hello Brother is scheduled
for a September 10 release and is eagerly awaited. The film
is an expensive one with lots of special effects. One of
the scenes shows Salman Khan being hit by a bullet and his
heart then enters brother Arbaaz Khan's heart afterwhich
the special effects take over. Producer Bunty Walia has
a mega-marketing campaign all ready. Apart from T-shirts
and the wrist-watches which are making news, the Hello Brother
rakhee, with the title of the film embossed on it is catching
people's attention with Raksha Bandhan (August 26) on their
mind. The overseas distributor is excited about Salman who
is a 'terrific draw' overseas as well as the music of the
film.
August 14, 1999 - Brother's Gifts
For Overseas
And some more on the Overseas publicity front of Hello Brother.
Apart from the colourful post-cards of the film that the
film's Overseas distributors, Mono Hill Pvt. Ltd. (Bombay),
intend to give away to cinegoers, there is mom in the offing.
Taking advantage of Raksha Bandhan which tails on August
26, the distributors have thought up a novel way of distributing
specially-made raakhis bearing the words, Hello Brother,
with the symbol of a smiling face. Surely, that should enable
all sisters abroad to greet their male siblings with a novel
Hello Brother: And there are more gifts to follow in the
following weeks, like watches, clocks, and a variety of
other gifts.
August 09, 1999 - Making Waves
If there's film making waves these days, it's Hello Brother
which stars Salman and Arbaaz Khan along with Rani Mukherji.
The film, incidentally, has been directed by Sohail Khan.
The movie, a comedy, is scheduled to release on September
10 next month, and is carrying interesting reports.
August 07, 1999 - Hello Overseas
Mono Hill Pvt. ltd., Bombay, the Overseas distributors Hello
Brother, have thought of an innovative way to woo the indian
and Asian cinegoers in the Overseas, especially in the UK
and the USA. The distributors intend giving regular cinema
patrons big-sized colourful postcards showing Rani Mukeji
and the'Hello'ing Khan brothers, Salman and Arbaaz. That's
saying 'Hello' in style! Four such colour postcards of Hello
Brother have been specially made.
July 31, 1999 - Negative Cutting
The first negative of G.S. Enteriments' Hello Brother was
cut by Salim Khan last week.
July 28, 1999 - Music to be Released
Soon
The Khan brothers(Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail) are back in
business with Hello Brother. The music release of the film
is just round the corner and the film is expected to release
sometime in October. Replacing Kajol from the original team
of Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya is Rani Mukherjee who it seems
is the hot favourite of Khans including Aamir Khan. The
music of the film has been scored by Sajid- Wajid(the composers
of Sonu Nigam's Deewana) and Himesh Reshmiya(the guy responsible
for the two superhit songs in Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya --
Meri Jawaani and Oodh Le Chunairya). Jatin Lalit who have
decided not to share music credits in an album are missing
from the album. While the story of the film is still under
